We March to Revolution: A Call to Action & Ways You Can Fight Back
Trump's tyranny must be stopped, and here is how the people can do it.
America Has No King, America Needs No King, America Will Not Tolerate A King…
There is something terribly wrong with this country, isn’t there? There has been a great strain put upon the pillars of our democracy; a weight that it can hardly bare anymore. The people’s trust in the institutions that serve them has eroded away, partially because of the neglect of those institutions to hear the will of the people, and partially because of the divisive gruel that is being fed to us on a daily basis by those that want us subdued and weak. There are few times in our history when our Republic, as well as the people who are meant to shepherd it, have ever been more in question.

There is a tyranny being perpetrated against we the people, just like the days of the empire and old King George. Indeed, our country has fallen to Oligarchy and Plutocracy, and I do not mean that in any exaggerated way. We have unwittingly entered another Gilded Age, though I dare say the perpetrators will be even harder to extricate than they were before. Wealth inequality has never been higher, and while the middle and lower class continues to fight over petty nonsense and scraps, the rich continue to empty our pockets. The country is helmed by a fascistic billionaire and his billionaire cronies, and the richest man in the world seems to have his ear more than his own vice president. They are raiding our coffers, setting ablaze our closest alliances, conspiring with enemies, sending immigrants to extra-judicial camps, and destroying the livelihoods of our fellow countrymen, and for what? To squeeze as much blood from the American stone as is conceivable, while offering nought in return.
In times like this, when the will of the majority is stifled by the interests of the aristocracy, it becomes necessary for the common man to throw off the chains of oppression through whatever means they may possess. We must rally now and reassert the will of the people, lest the Republic be lost to the necrosis from which it currently suffers.
Why We Must Fight Back / The Destruction of the Social Contract
“The people can not be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.” – Thomas Jefferson, A Letter to William Stephens Smith, 13 November 1787
“..mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.” - Thomas Jefferson, The Declaration of Independence, July 4th 1776
I know now why the frog doesn’t jump from the boiling pot; not because it is unaware, but because it has been convinced that jumping is too hard. Do not let anyone convince you to suffer for the sake of normalcy and decorum. What these people either don’t know or don’t want you to know is that the rule of law in this country is already dead, many just can’t see it yet. They desperately grasp to normalcy like a child to it’s mother, knowing not that they cling to a bloated and festering corpse. We allowed the man we just elected to stage an insurrection, trample the constitution, incinerate every presidential precedent, and call himself above the law, and the system failed to hold him accountable, and still fails to do so every passing day.
The bread and circuses have placated us, lulling the people into a state of complacency while higher authorities stripped us of the only powers we had to wield against them. A cat de-clawed can hardly survive in the wild; But the fangs remain, and we have bared our teeth for too long without using them.
Everything in society operates by way of a social contract. We grant companies and the government our resources and labor for services, and the expectation that those services will be sound. There are a few legal recourses when one side of the social contract is broken: protesting, boycotting, petitioning, canvasing, voting, etc. to enact change. When those do not work, things logically must escalate. Civil disobedience and targeted disruption come next. Protests must become as indefinite as they can be, regardless of permits or legal status. The mechanisms that support MAGA, such as Tesla factories and Amazon distribution centers, must be boycotted and blocked. I want any reading this to understand: there will be counter protests, some protests will get broken up by police, there will likely be false flags and bad actors, and some people will get injured and arrested. Protesting is not a safe activity, and you must come into it expecting that; but we must face down these threats nonetheless. Fire-hoses, police dogs, and even lynchings did not stop the civil rights movement, for the people knew that their cause was a righteous one, just as ours is today.
I have no doubt that my message will be met with denouncement by some, irrespective of the fact that I am simply engaging in this country’s oldest tradition. But that is the very issue that we face as a people; there are many in this country who call themselves patriots who lack any concept of the ideas and fundamental values that this country stands for. Many of you who so outwardly claim to be real Americans would have been just as comfortable as loyalists to the crown in 1776, confederates in 1861, and isolationists in 1940. Many of you romanticize the founding fathers and the revolution, but balk at the reality of what they had to do to liberate the country. The Sons of Liberty were a clandestine organization engaging in what the media today would likely call terrorism, but I argue there are undoubtedly times when such action is just.
Methods and Strategy of Protest:
There are many ways to resist this fascist movement, and any action, no matter how small, shows support and furthers its goals. So, I have compiled a list of current protests, movements, and organizations, as well as ways that you can join in.
Boycotting:
Billionaires and corporations only care about one thing: their wallet. If we show the rich that supporting this administration will lose them money, then they will slowly start to pull away, no matter how many tax cuts they are promised by Trump. These are already starting, and in fact today (Feb. 28th) is one such day:
Another is coming up March 15th as well. Now, the reality is that one day of boycott likely won’t do a whole bunch, so here are some companies that you should be trying to avoid indefinitely:
Anything Elon related:
Twitter/X (garbage platform anyway), Starlink, and Tesla
Amazon and its subsidiaries:
Prime, Whole Foods, Audible, Zappos, Twitch, The Washington Post
Meta:
FaceBook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Threads, Oculus
You should probably get rid of anything Meta anyway if you care about your data being sold
Rupert Murdoch’s companies:
Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, New York Post
Google
Google also steals all your data, so you should get rid of it anyway. Switch from Chrome to FireFox or Brave, and use DuckDuckGo or even Bing instead of Google to search.
I realize it is quite hard to boycott YouTube because there are no other alternatives, but if you have a YouTube TV or YouTube Music subscription, cancel them
Try to avoid big supermarkets like Walmart and Target, and shop locally when you can. I hear CostCo and Aldi are pretty decent companies as well if you have to pick a supermarket.
I feel these are things everyone can pretty easily cut without too much trouble or disruption to their lives, and it will send a message if enough of us do it.
Contact Your Government Officials:
This is another thing that is fairly easy to do that can move the needle. Senators and Representatives across the country have been inundated with people calling for them to stand up to MAGA, and it has gained their attention. So let’s keep going! Call, send emails, send letters, do anything you can to get your voice out!
Here is a website that lets you easily contact your representatives, and provides scripts that you can use for different issues: https://5calls.org/
Furthermore, if your representatives are having town halls or any public meetings, show up! Tell them to their face just how pissed off you are! They can’t ignore us all!
Protests and Organizations:
There are quite a few different protests going on all over the country, and it can be a little hard to keep up and know which is which, so I listed some here for your convenience:
Next Planned Protests:
March 4th: This protest is being done during Trump’s Inaugural Address
March 7th: The Stand Up for Science Protest in opposition to the threats to the NIH and science funding by DOGE
March 8th: International Women’s Day
March 14th: A general March on DC
50501: https://www.fiftyfifty.one/
50501 has been organizing protests at state capitals and big cities across the country. They were the ones behind the No Kings Day protest not too long ago.
50501 subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/50501/
Indivisible: https://indivisible.org/
Political Revolution: https://events.pol-rev.com/
General Strike: https://generalstrikeus.com
A general strike is when working people refuse their labor until demands are met. Research shows we need 3.5% of the population, or 11 million Americans, to be successful. So far they are at 285,000, so please sign up and spread the word!
American Iron Front: https://www.ironfrontusa.org/resources
An anti-fascist organization with a lot of great resources on protesting, fascism in general, and even survival techniques if shit hits the fan
Keeping Yourself Safe:
A few other things to remember:
You have a constitutional right to carry a firearm. However, make sure you know your local gun laws, and do not threaten anyone with it. Carry strictly for self defense.
Encryption is your friend in today’s world. If you are communicating about protests, use private messengers like Signal and Proton Mail.
Let’s Take Back Patriotism!:
For too long, MAGA has gotten away with calling themselves real patriots. No more! Let’s show them and the world who the real Americans are! We’re the ones defending the constitution and expressing our freedoms, not them! Fly the American flag, fly your state flag, use revolutionary symbols, etc.
The Final Recourse:
“And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.” – Thomas Jefferson, A Letter to William Stephens Smith, 13 November 1787
When all else fails, there is but one ultimate recourse left, and that is death. Though I do not advocate for violence, I emphatically declare that liberty must be protected by whatever means may become necessary, and we must be prepared for the possibility that violence may meet us in the fight to save our country.
These institutions are granted power solely by "We the People", and when those institutions fail to fix our suffering and don't hold the perpetrators accountable, they must be forced back into the social contract by the people through often violent means. That has always been the case throughout human history, and is something the founders knew all too well. We have forgotten in the modern day, but “Liberty or Death” has always been the promise. I say this not as a threat, but as a warning of a certain eventuality. If the systems with which the public places its trust do not reign in the plutocrats and hold them accountable, then the public will, and I assure you that no one wants that. It is their choice; they can be led out in handcuffs, or they can end up with their heads on pikes.
How many times have the rich been caught knowingly poisoning us, cutting costs at the expense of safety, destroying our environment, manipulating and lying to us, and when they are supposed to be put to justice the judicial system gives them a slap on the wrist and lets them go on their merry way. We are not asking for a perfect system, no system is perfect, all we want is a reasonable government who cares about its citizens and protects their rights. All we want is to not be treated like we are only worth how much money is in our bank accounts, but we have been shown time and time again that is not the case.
If the gears of the republic were not jammed as they are, then violent action would not have to be considered, but we may no longer have that luxury. The ways in which the people can express their discontent have been continuously and flagrantly disregarded, resulting in the current climate. I fear that we may be beyond the pale already, and that we are headed towards violence regardless of our efforts at peace.
The Reality of Revolution
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
Revolution is not romantic. Beware any man too eager about violence, even in regard to those like Trump who have done great harm. People like that are just as likely to turn their knife on you when there is nothing left to satiate them. It is solemn duty that should drive you; that is not to say you cannot take satisfaction in the retribution, but to be driven to such ends indicates a tragic abdication of the system put in place to prevent the necessity of that form of justice.
Funnily enough, before all this, I didn’t have much of a taste for politics. I yearn for the days that I could remain blissfully ignorant of the happenings of the world, all the while confident that the mechanisms that run our society would keep whirring along in my mental absence. I now feel it an obligation. So I am using the only means through which I know I can be useful to spread this message.
Do not be surprised when the examples set by our own founding fathers, who have been deified in this country by the government and education system, inspire people to follow in their footsteps in the face of oppression and tyranny. They are simply following through on the morals and values that they were told to believe in.

Thank you! I’m sharing this with the Citizens for Equality group.
I suggested the following to Senator Schumer (one of my senators) and a similar one to my NY Representative. I would love to hear people’s thoughts about it!
Senator Schumer,
With our federal laws and even our Constitution being violated by a rogue President, now is the time for you and your fellow Democrats and Independents (and any Republicans who have the courage) to lead in the resistance. We need a strong statement, one that is symbolic, impactful, AND feasible.
So here is my suggestion: a Liberty Torch relay to Washington, D.C. that passes through villages, towns, cities, and suburbs on its way to D.C. via state capitals, with perhaps a scheduled "arrival" in D.C. on July 4th. There would be a statement on the torch reaffirming commitment to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States, and then there would be a digital mechanism, perhaps using blockchain technology, for Americans to electronically sign their name to that statement. This would enable Americans to sign onto the statement without having to physically attend the relay. And the torch would be not one torch but 435 torches that start in the Congressional districts and make their way to their state capital. If blockchain is used, then with each signature, the blockchain gets longer. As these torches are relayed there would be opportunities for ceremonies to receive and pass on the torch, with marches and caravans along the way.
From each state capital, a caravan of that state's torches would then drive to Washington D.C. An "app" could be set up to enable Americans to track the relay of the torches along with signatures as they came in. PSAs and local and national media would track the spectacle. There would then be a grand Constitutional lighting ceremony in Washington D.C. attended by Congressional and civil leaders to receive the 435 torches where they would be displayed. Each Senator and House Representative, Supreme Court Justice, and the President would then be called on to reaffirm their commitment, per their oath of office, to support and defend the Constitution of the United States by signing a federal version of the torch.
A nonresponse to these historically unprecedented attacks on our Constitution and underlying democratic norms would reinforce these attacks by implicitly accepting them. Our hand is forced. The time for action--to say that this in not normal or acceptable--is now.
Please let me know what you think. I stand ready to help make something like this happen.
Thank you,
Stephan Brown
